Will my application be kept confidential?
At Laverne Smith & Associates, client and candidate confidentiality is our utmost concern. We have built our business based on two main beliefs: Excellence matters and people matter. We work hard to protect candidate confidentiality and we emphasize the need for discretion with client search committees. In all communication you are assured that we hold your information in complete confidence.
Will you contact the references that are included with my application?
We will always conduct detailed reference checks on candidates that are being seriously considered for one of our searches and we are committed to ongoing, open communication with potential candidates for all of our searches. In the event that you are being seriously considered for a search, we will contact you before undertaking a reference about you with any of your referees.
How do you decide which candidates to present to a client?
This assessment is based on years of professional expertise to determine the best fit between the candidate's qualifications and the profile identified by our client. Ultimately, the client decides which candidates merit further exploration.
Do you accept applications from individuals outside Canada?
Our objective is to identify the most suitable candidates in every instance, according to the requirements of our clients. Unless otherwise stated, we are pleased to accept applications from suitable candidates, regardless of country of origin.
Will you acknowledge receipt of my resume?
We will contact you if we believe, based on extensive evaluation of our client's needs, that your resume and correspondence with us are an appropriate fit for a particular search.
